Please carefully read through all of the manual before using the i-Angel hipseat carrier.

Hipseat Carrier Wearing Instructions

  Front

Back

  1. First, check that all the hipseat carrier parts are properly connected and fastened.  Make sure the connecting zipper is fully secured to the end and locked into place by folding the zipper pull backwards.  Thread the velcro fasteners thru the rings and firmly attach them together.
  2. Velcro and then buckle the waist belt in the front of the body to ensure a tight fit.  Make sure to tighten the waist belt around the waist and not the pelvis.  Tighten the buckle's strap as necessary as this will help to stabilize the hipseat and act as a redundant safety mechanism.

Helpful Tip: If you place your baby on a hipseat that isn't tightened properly, the weight of your child will cause the hipseat to tilt forward and could place undue pressure on your pelvis.

  3. Rotate the hipseat into the desired position.
  4. When seating your baby for the first time, please practice adequately before actually placing your baby in the carrier or ask someone for assistance.  Always secure your baby with a supporting arm at all times while buckling or tightening the hipseat carrier to your body.  We recommend sitting on a cushioned area (i.e. sofa, bed, floor, etc...) to ensure your child's safety.
  5. While holding your baby steady on the hipseat with a supporting arm, use your other arm to thread through the shoulder belt and bring the carrier portion up around your baby.  Alternate arms as necessary to support your baby as you settle the shoulder belts on top of your shoulders.
  6. Now you can buckle the chest/upper back belt with both hands and make adjustments.

Helpful Tip:  Use a mirror to make final adjustments to your carrier and/or child for a snug fit.  Your baby should not be loose in the carrier nor too tight to obstruct breathing.  You want your baby to be worn close but comfortable.

WARNING:  A baby carrier is not appropriate for sporting activities.  Refrain from running, jumping, bending past 45 degrees, or unintended uses for the safety of your baby.
WARNING:  If the buckles or sewing are damaged, please stop wearing the hipseat carrier immediately.
